The second international congress of urban landscape, developed under the motto "PEOPLE ARE THE CITY", has organized an act of homage to the people of Barcelona that makes possible the intelligent management of the urban landscape considered as a meeting point of the city. When Barcelona decided to choose to host the 1992 Olympic Games, Mayor Pasqual Maragall thought it was inevitable to wash his face to the city and launched the "Barcelona, posa't guapa" campaign, which in his 32 years Of life - since 1997 as the Municipal Institute of Urban Landscape and Quality of Life - has maintained the leading role of the people. In the words of the Olympic mayor, parodying Shakespeare: "The City is the people".It is clear that in the use and maintenance of the urban landscape people play an irreplaceable role. That is why, on June 13 at 1915 hours, the ceremony was held in the Auditorium of CaixaForum, the tribute ceremony "The City is the People", which included a conference by Mr. Enric Sierra, deputy director of www. Lavanguardia.com and attached to
